Christian is a Memphis based actor and educator. He currently leads The University of Memphis theatre department as the Head of the BFA Performance program. This year he teaches Acting I, Theatre History of the African Diaspora, Intro to Theatre, and Acting II.

Christian’s core values cause him to seek the betterment of the African American experience; therefore, he hungers for the advancement of the African American stage picture and digital mediums. He follows in the footsteps of African diasporic actors, like those who performed at the African Grove Theatre, who wished to see themselves represented in poetic texts. Christian is proud to be a part of the change he wishes to see in the American theatre.

Including his duties to Memphis’s theatre program, Christian is also an active industry professional. His most recent works are: *World premiere* If Pekin is a Duck, Why am I in Chicago? (Playhouse on the Square), Alls Well That Ends Well (Colorado Shakespeare Festival), and Coriolanus (Colorado Shakespeare Festival). Christian has narrated his first audiobook! The Reason for Rhyming is now available for purchase on Audible, Amazon, and iTunes. This summer Christian will debut at the St. Croix Festival Theatre as Benedick in their production of Much Ado About Nothing. Keep an eye on the news to see what Christian is up to in 2023!

Christian holds an MFA in Theatre Acting from The University of Alabama and a BFA in Acting from Emory & Henry College.
